New stocks - just in!

We have a new display of stock furniture and furnishings in our showroom. These include a fun range of bedroom furniture for kids. All pieces have removable machine washable covers and come in a choice of fun polka dot colours.

The range includes, bed head, mirror, ottoman (large and small). Designed by and made exclusively for Sourcing Bali. For more details, email desmond@sourcing-bali.com

We also have a new range of rattan chairs and loungers - exclusive to Sourcing Bali. This casual, lightweight range is made from rattan skin, and is available in a choice of finishes. (Natural, antique wash, coco brown)

Fiji Direct - next container

Our consolidated containers to Fiji have been a great success, with the next container ready for loading this week.

This regular service supports our many Fijian customers with discounted shipping rates to Fiji for smaller (Less than container load) shipments.

New Warehouse

We've grown !

As another step to further enhancing our services and improving efficiency, Sourcing Bali will move it's packing and quality controlling facility to our NEW 1200sqm dedicated warehouse - effective February 1st, 2006

This change will enable greater control of packing and storage, upgrading of labeling and numbering as well as better control of volumes and container loadings for all of our customers.

A new fleet of trucks have been ordered and staff interviews are underway!

We take this opportunity to thank Gusti Rudangga and all of his team at Nusa Trans, without who's support we could never have succeeded. This change to procedure in no way reflects any lacking of service or standards by Nusa Trans. We are grateful for their dedicated support. We will continue to use Nusa Trans for smaller / LCL shipments.

We look forward to bringing you more news as we make the change. (here's a sneak preview )

Leather sofas - contempory and affordable

We are proud to present a new supplier of affordable and contemporary leather sofas. Available in a choice of 8 colours, these 2.5 seater sofas are affordably priced at Rp5.500.000 (+/- US$590) and can be made to order to any size specifications.

Welcome Back Kiwi's

We say a very warm WELCOME BACK to Peter and Sandy from Unitel NZ - orders are well underway for their latest 80 -roomed project in National Park.

Sourcing Bali is sourcing all door frames, trusses, windows, floor tiles and all guest room and public area furniture for this 3-star facility. The first containers leave later this month !!

Rock Sinks!

New to Bali - SOLID ROCK vanities, made from river stones have just arrived!!

Priced at Rp700.000 each (approx US$75) and are available in AUSTRALIAN or EUROPEAN drainage sizes, these irregular (natural) shaped carved rock sinks would certainly make an interesting addition to a guest bathroom, for resort or restaurant.

IFC - International Finance Corporation

IFC's mission is to promote sustainable private sector investment in developing countries, helping to reduce poverty and improve peoples lives. IFC's PENSA programme (Program for Eastern Indonesia Small / Medium Enterprise Assistance) has been established in Bali.

PENSA has selected 17 small handicraft makers in Bali as part of their pilot programme, providing them with essential training such as improving designs, communication, quality control, business administration etc.

Sourcing Bali has been asked to support the programme by promoting the products made by the 17 selected suppliers of handicrafts. IFC's commitment is to ensure competitive pricing, professional service and support with designs.

These suppliers include makers of: Shell inlay / beaded shoes / carved mirrors / coco-resin / bags and pandan boxes etc.

Sourcing Bali's policy is to support local communities as we have done for the past five years. We will continue to bring the updates on these PENSA partners in the future editions of Sourcing Bali news.

Congratulations Pipin and Wawan

7We extend our warmest congratulations to Pipin (Account Manager) and husband Wawan on the safe arrival of their healthy baby daughter Stephanie. We wish the new family all the very best !

Donations needed

Our plans to build the basketball court at the Tabanan Orphanage are still in progress. We extend our special thanks to Francesca and friends for the generous donation of Rp5.000.000 and to the Barbours for their donation of AUD$50.

We are seeking other kind benefactors to help contribute to this worthy project - donations can be sent (in any currency) to our bank account. We estimate that we need Rp50.000.000 (fifty million) - we already have Rp11.000.000 We hope to commence work after the rains stop !

Be sure to use our Online exchange rate converter once you log onto www.sourcing-bali.com as it gives you an indication on the Rupiah exchange rates.

It is not possible to send Rupiah Internationally, so all transactions / TT's sent to Sourcing Bali need to be in a hard currency, note however, that all transactions are subject to the rate of our recieving bank on the day.
